   Survivors Notes

           Send us your helpful words to help other survivors find hope. Click Surivor's  Note  to send us a note to add to

           our webpage that will help other survivors know that they are not going crazy,they are not alone.  Send helpful

           hints that helped you negotiate your grieving process and might help others.  As I explain in my book

           The Butterfly on My Shoulder,  (available on the resource page) the words my Mother passed on to me helped me  

           not just survive but in time thrive  and go on to help others.  Those words were this too shall pass!  Your words can

           help others too.  Help a survivor know that they are not alone and they can  survive and thrive again too.

     Here is part of  One Survivor's Note:

 

          

                   Support group meetings with FISP and the friends I have met there have helped me confront and answer  

                   some questions. I have come to understand the undiagnosed depression, which plagued his life for many

                   years and hope to find peace with the decisions we made over the years we spent struggling to make things

                   better.  I am always reminded of Rick’s purpose in my life, and in this world whenever I look at my two 

                   daughters (ages 12 and 4). They are living reminder that he was here; he touched my heart, and gave to the

                   world. As their mother, my work continues and my purpose is clear.  As a Survivor, I feel the need to reach out

                   to those who need me, and once again, give of my heart. FISP has helped me to do this.
