  • Visit the National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center site for information on prevention and intervention programs, publications, research, and statistics on youth suicide.
  • Find a free, anonymous depression screening site in your area, click here. 
  • Resource guide for youth suicide prevention programs has been put together by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, Centers for Disease Control, and the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
  • The Centers for Disease Control has also made available a list of references on screening programs.
  • Visit the new website www.learnaboutbipolar.com to get an insight into to  this debilitating disease.  This site tells the story Actor Sean Astin knows  the impact that bipolar disorder can have on a family.   • The Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) Knowledge Exchange Network 
    (KEN) provides information about mental health via a toll-free telephone number (800-789-2647), their website and more than 200 publications. CMHS developed KEN for users of mental health services and their families, the general public, policy makers, providers, and the media. KEN staff quickly direct callers to federal, state and local organizations dedicated to treating and preventing mental illness. KEN also has information on Federal grants, conferences, and other events. 
    The Center for Mental Health Services is a component of Substance Abuse and 
    Mental Health Services Administration.
